TE MQS-Series (Micro Quadlok System Series)

According to TE the Micro Quadlok System combines the features of high packing density, robust construction and highest functional requirements. In spite of its miniaturized design, it fulfils all requirements for a contact system suitable for use in automobiles and covers a wide range of application sectors in both waterproof and non-water-proof areas.

The electrical contact is made by a square pin with an edge length of 0.63 mm. The socket contact has four contact points and the electrical contact is made with all four surfaces of the pin. The special feature if the Micro Quadlok System is the separation of the main functions; the internal contact body provides all electrical and electromechanical functions, while the superimposed steel cantilever spring protects and retains the contact.

The Contact System MQS is designed for electrical applications in motor vehicles, where vibration and mechanical stress can, in the long-term, affect the quality of conventional contact systems.
