DeyTrade was founded in 2008 by Sebastian Deyter in Paderborn, Germany. The companies name is a made-up of the founders surname Deyter and „trade“, the company’s core business. The addition „Connecting“ stands in for both the traded goods and the main intention of DeyTrade: Being the interface between the wholesalers of automotive connection systems and companies with small and medium demands.
Business Objective
DeyTrade’s objective is to be the established One-Stop-Shop for automotive connectors in Europe. This means to offer all essential automotive connectors in one shop. The figure shows the target value chain.
The One-Stop-Shop concept allows benefiting from the following vantages:
- Economies of Scale: We bundle our customers demand and let them participate in the price advantages!
- Economies of Scope: The time consuming and therefore expensive search for distributors is no longer applicable because all essential connectors are available at DeyTrade!
- Enhancing the wholesaler’s effectiveness: Generally wholesalers are not able to offer quantities disparate a multiple of full packaging sizes. His logistic structures just disallow this. In consequence, transferring small and medium sized purchases to DeyTrade enhance the wholesaler’s effectiveness.
Basic Principles
Our objectives shall be reached by keeping our basic principles in mind. The basic principles are the company’s personality traits. They are the guidelines of our work:
- Perfection: We want to be better than our competitors. For constant improvement we take critics serious and are able to self-reflect our doing. It is ok to make a mistake, but the mistake must not recur.
- Equal treatment of all customers: We want to treat all customers with the same perfectionism, independent of the size of enterprise or turnover.
- Have fun: The one who has fun doing his or her work does it well. Regardless of all the perfectionism and professionalism we want to have fun working together and share our lust for life with our customers.
